Step 1 – Enabling Remote Connections #

On the target device, make sure that remote connections are allowed & the checkbox for ‘Only allow connections from computers running Remote Desktop with Network Level Authentication (recommended)‘ is unchecked.

Step 2 – Creating RDP Profile #

On the host device that you wish to RDP from, create a new RDP profile and save it anywhere.

Locate the saved file, right click and open it with notepad.

Make sure the following two lines are in the notepad, if they are not then add them:

enablecredsspsupport:i:0
authentication level:i:2

Step 3 – RDP to the Target Computer #

Accept any certificate notifications
